Anti-Spam Policy

Last Updated: February 26, 2026

We are committed to ensuring the highest standards of email and SMS communication and protecting our users from unwanted messages. Our anti-spam policy outlines the measures we take to prevent and address spam, ensuring compliance with international regulations and providing a secure environment for our users.

1. Definition of Spam
Spam refers to unsolicited, irrelevant, or inappropriate messages sent in bulk, typically for advertising purposes. This includes unsolicited commercial emails or SMS messages, messages sent without proper consent, misleading or deceptive content, messages with false or misleading header information, and bulk messages sent without a clear opt-out mechanism.

2. Acceptable Use
At Information Charts, we are committed to responsible communication practices. We only send messages to users who have explicitly opted in to receive communications, provided accurate contact details during registration, and can easily opt out of non-essential communications at any time. All our communications include clear identification of the sender (Information Charts), accurate subject lines that reflect the content, a physical mailing address, and easy-to-use opt-out mechanisms.

3. Prohibited Actions
The following activities are strictly prohibited on our platform: purchasing, renting, or using third-party email or phone lists; sending deceptive or misleading messages; sending bulk messages to generic email addresses without consent; collecting contact information through automated means or web scraping; using false or misleading sender information; and continuing to send messages after a user has opted out.

4. Compliance with Laws
Information Charts complies with all applicable anti-spam laws and regulations, including the CAN-SPAM Act (USA) for commercial email, the TCPA (USA) for SMS communications, the GDPR (EU) for users in the European Union, and CASL (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation).

5. Consequences of Violation
Violations of this Anti-Spam Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of account access, legal action to recover damages, reporting to relevant authorities, and cooperation with law enforcement investigations.

6. Reporting Spam
If you believe you have received spam from someone claiming to be associated with Information Charts, or if you have received unwanted messages after opting out, please report it to us immediately at support@informationcharts.org with subject line "Spam Report." Include the full message headers and content in your report, and provide the date and time you received the message. We take all spam reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

7. Protecting Your Inbox
To help protect yourself from spam: enable spam filters in your email client or mobile device, be cautious about sharing your email address or phone number publicly, always verify the sender before clicking links or providing information, use the unsubscribe or STOP options for legitimate services, and report spam messages to your email provider and relevant authorities.

8. Feedback and Enforcement
We continuously monitor our communication practices to ensure compliance with this policy. We regularly review our email and SMS sending practices, maintain detailed records of user consent, process opt-out requests immediately (within 24-48 hours), conduct periodic audits of our communication systems, and train our team on anti-spam best practices.
